How the Infrared Taggers Work
GAMEYARD taggers use eye-safe infrared technology, similar to the infrared signals used by everyday remote controls. The equipment involves:

Briefing, Boundaries and No-Contact Rules
Before play begins, coaches explain the equipment, objectives, boundaries and Base Zones. Players are told not to tackle, push or physically tag one another.
During the event, coaches supervise the rounds, reinforce the rules and help teams understand each objective. This structure supports organized movement, teamwork and respectful play.
How Coaches Support Different Groups
Every event includes trained game coaches who can adjust instructions, objectives, pacing and round formats based on the group. Coaches also organize teams, explain unfamiliar missions and monitor play and transitions.
Age Guidance for GAMEYARD Equipment
GAMEYARD’s Falcon F1 experience is generally designed for ages 6+. Children ages 4 and 5 can participate using our age-appropriate younger-player taggers, with simpler instructions, objectives, pacing and round formats based on the group.
The Falcon F1 equipment and the younger-player taggers are different equipment options. When planning a mixed-age birthday, share the children’s ages so GAMEYARD can recommend the appropriate setup.
