Mission-based laser tag gives every round a clear objective. Instead of relying only on individual scoring, players work through goals such as capturing an item, defending a Base Zone or supporting a teammate.

GAMEYARD explains the rules, sets the boundaries and leads each scheduled round. The mission selection, instructions and pacing are adjusted for the group and event plan.

How Mission-Based Rounds Work

Each mission gives players one shared task. Teams can decide how to assign roles, move through the play area and respond when the other team changes its approach. The objective helps participants understand what they are working toward during the round.

GAMEYARD can run up to 20 active players at one time, although 16 is generally recommended. Larger groups can rotate through the scheduled rounds, with the exact sequence based on the group size, available time and event plan.

Age-Appropriate Equipment and Instructions

Falcon F1 taggers are generally used for players aged six and older. For children aged four or five, GAMEYARD can use younger-player taggers with simpler instructions, objectives, pacing and round formats when this is included in the event plan.

Share the children’s age range when requesting the event so the team can plan the equipment and instructions for the confirmed group.

Examples of Mission Objectives

These are examples, not a fixed menu for every event. GAMEYARD chooses the scheduled missions around the group, play area, available time and event objectives.

Rules and Responsibilities

The equipment uses eye-safe infrared technology, with no projectiles. GAMEYARD uses no-contact rules, establishes the active play boundaries and explains the rules before play begins. No-fire Base Zones may also be used when they fit the mission and layout.

GAMEYARD manages the mobile laser tag activity itself. The host continues handling venue access, food, allergies and guests outside the active play area.
