FAQ

What is laser tag on ice?

Laser Tag on Ice is a fully supervised, non-contact laser tag event played on your booked ice rink. We bring the gear, set up the field, brief the players, and run the event from start to finish.

No. The ice rink must be booked separately by the customer. GAMEYARD provides the laser tag equipment, crew, setup, coaching, music, lighting effects, and pack-down for the event.

If you are not sure which arena or community centre to use, you can contact us first. We have already run events at some locations before, so in many cases the approval process is easier because the venue may already be familiar with our setup.

Our price includes:

• travel to locations within 25 km of Milton
• 16 players included
• one hour of fully supervised, non-contact laser tag
• 2 to 3 crew members on-site, including a coach and field techs
• full setup and pack-down
• Falcon F1 taggers
• foldable obstacles
• music and dancing lights
• event photos and videos shared within 24 hours

For locations more than 25 km from Milton, an additional travel fee will be added based on the event location.

The package includes 16 players. Additional players are $10 each. If your group is larger, we can run the event in rotations, with up to 50 players participating overall.

We arrive about 30 minutes before your event and prepare everything outside the ice rink in advance. Once your rink time begins, we only need a couple of minutes to place the obstacles on the ice and get started.

The on-ice gameplay itself is 60 minutes. During that time, we run a series of different game modes, rounds, and strategies to keep the event active, organized, and fun.

About 5 minutes before the end of your booked ice time, we begin removing the obstacles from the rink so the ice can be cleared on time for the next group. After that, we continue packing down and cleaning up outside the rink for another 15 to 20 minutes.

So from our side, the full process usually takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, but the actual laser tag gameplay on the ice is 60 minutes.

Yes. The event is non-contact and fully supervised from start to finish. Before we begin, we brief the players, explain the rules clearly, and run structured game missions so the session stays organized and controlled.

Our setup is also rink-friendly. The obstacles are lightweight, stable on the ice, and do not use glue, tape, or anything that sticks to the surface. They do not leave marks on the ice, and we remove them before the end of your booked rink time so the rink is ready for the next group.

Our coaches run the event from start to finish. They handle the setup, explain the rules, organize the teams, introduce each mission, manage the flow of the rounds, and supervise the session the whole way through.

Their job is to keep the event safe, clear, and fun, while making sure players know what to do and the group stays organized on the ice. This means the organizer does not have to run the activity themselves.

We handle the event from start to finish, so the group does not need to figure anything out on their own.

At the start, we brief the players, explain the rules, and divide everyone into teams as needed. Then we run a series of different game missions on the ice so the event stays active, organized, and fun.

Depending on the group, missions can include:

  • Free for All
  • Team Mode
  • One Man Standing
  • Capture the Flag

We guide the players through each round, explain what they need to do, and keep the game moving the whole time. That way, even if someone has never played laser tag before, they can quickly understand how it works and enjoy the experience.

The obstacles are lightweight, stable on the ice, and do not use glue, tape, or anything that sticks to the surface. They do not leave marks on the ice, and we pack everything down quickly once the event ends.

Most of our events on ice are a great fit for ages 7+. We adjust missions and pacing based on the group.

Laser Tag on Ice is available seven days a week, subject to availability. The price is $299 + HST on any day. The ice rink is booked and paid separately by the customer.

Yes. We can add your venue as an additional insured under our $5 million commercial liability insurance at no extra charge.

We bring our Falcon F1 taggers, foldable obstacles, music, dancing lights, and the full setup needed to run the event.
