Students taking part in a structured GAMEYARD laser tag round

A school laser tag day needs a clear schedule, an approved play area and defined responsibilities. GAMEYARD uses the confirmed group size, ages, available time and space to plan the equipment, teams and round sequence.

How the School Rotation Is Planned

GAMEYARD can run up to 20 active players at one time, although 16 is generally recommended. For larger groups, teams rotate through the scheduled rounds. The rotation plan is adjusted around the number of teams, available time, play area and event objectives so the event can move through the scheduled rounds in an organized way.

GAMEYARD manages the active play area, explains the rules and leads the scheduled rounds. Program staff continue supervising participants outside the active play area and handling any wider program or venue responsibilities.

Age-Appropriate Equipment and Instructions

Falcon F1 taggers are generally used for participants aged six and older. For children aged four or five, GAMEYARD can use younger-player taggers with simpler instructions, objectives, pacing and round formats when included in the event plan.

Schools should provide the expected age range and group size during planning so the correct equipment and schedule can be prepared.

Rules, Boundaries and Base Zones

The equipment uses eye-safe infrared technology and no projectiles. GAMEYARD uses no-contact rules, marks the active play boundaries and explains the rules before play begins. No-fire Base Zones may be included when they fit the mission and layout.

The school or site operator must approve the location. The proposed area should be clear, stable and separated from unrelated traffic, with required exits and access routes kept open. GAMEYARD reviews the proposed space and confirms whether it is suitable for the planned setup.
