An indoor venue can be useful when weather or outdoor space is a concern, subject to venue availability and the customer completing the booking. GAMEYARD brings the mobile laser tag equipment, crew, setup, coached rounds and pack-down to a suitable space.
This is not a separate hosted package. An indoor birthday uses the regular Your Yard service and pricing, while the customer books and pays for the venue separately.
How the Indoor Venue Process Works
If you choose an indoor venue, the GAMEYARD event uses the regular Your Yard pricing. GAMEYARD can suggest possible venue options, but the customer selects the venue, confirms availability, books it and pays the venue directly.
Before booking, share the venue information with GAMEYARD so the play area, access, timing and site rules can be reviewed. A suggestion is not a guarantee that the venue is available or suitable for a particular date.
Regular Your Yard Birthday Pricing Applies
- Monday to Thursday: $299 + HST
- Friday to Sunday: $349 + HST
- Event length: 90 minutes of coached play
- Players included: 16
- Additional players: $10 each
- Deposit: $100 reserves the date and goes toward the event total
The venue rental charge is not included in the GAMEYARD service price. The customer books the venue and pays the venue directly.
What Makes an Indoor Space Suitable
The exact requirements depend on the participant count and event plan. Before confirming a venue, review these points with GAMEYARD:
- Enough open floor area for the planned group and objectives
- Clear boundaries and suitable Base Zones
- Safe access for equipment arrival, setup and pack-down
- Venue approval for the activity and any setup materials
- Enough booked time for access, setup, the 90-minute event and pack-down
- Any rules for noise, footwear, food, decorations, insurance or supervision
GAMEYARD must confirm that the proposed play area is suitable. The venue controls availability, access and its own rules.
What GAMEYARD Brings
- Mobile infrared taggers and sensors
- Portable obstacles and event setup
- Two crew members
- Rules briefing, coached rounds and organized transitions
- Pack-down after the event
The GAMEYARD crew arrives according to the confirmed event plan, sets up the play area, explains the rules and leads supervised rounds. The customer remains responsible for the venue booking, venue access and any venue-specific requirements.
Weather Planning Without Guarantees
An indoor venue can reduce exposure to rain, snow or outdoor temperature, but availability, access, travel conditions and venue rules still apply. The venue must be confirmed by the customer, and GAMEYARD must confirm that the selected play area is suitable.
If you are considering an outdoor event, discuss the weather plan and any possible alternate space before the event date. A backup plan depends on what the customer has booked and what GAMEYARD can safely operate.
Questions to Ask a Venue Before Booking
- Is the activity permitted in the proposed room or gym?
- What are the access times before and after the event?
- Are there footwear, floor-protection or obstacle rules?
- Is proof of insurance required?
- Are food, decorations or outside vendors permitted?
- Who is responsible for opening, closing and cleaning the venue?
